With all of the hullabaloo surrounding ChatGPT lately, I thought it would be an interesting thought experiment to see what ChatGPT “thinks” about a variety of topics critical to interior design business owners.

Last week, I posted an article about ChatGPT’s advice for interior designers about business processes and how interior designers can level up the back end of their businesses.

Today, I asked ChatGPT to give me a complete TikTok marketing strategy for interior designers…here’s what it said:

ChatGPT: Sure! Here is a complete TikTok marketing strategy for interior designers:

  • Create a TikTok account and establish your brand identity. Choose a username that is easy to remember and relates to your business. Use the bio section to give a brief overview of your services and link to your website.

  • Develop a content strategy that showcases your work and expertise. Consider creating short, attention-grabbing videos that highlight your interior design projects, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of your design process. You can also share tips and tricks for home decor, home organization, and other related topics.

  • Use relevant hashtags to make it easier for people to find your content. Some popular hashtags for interior design on TikTok include #interiordesign, #homedecor, #interiorstyling, and #homedesign.

Next, I asked it to go into more detail for each of the above bullet points.

First off, I asked it to give me the best practices for creating the TikTok bio section for my interior design business

ChatGPT: Certainly! Here are some best practices for creating the TikTok bio section for an interior design business:

  • Keep it brief: Since you only have a limited amount of space in your bio, it's important to be concise. Consider using a few short sentences to describe your business and what you do.

  • Use keywords: Use relevant keywords in your bio to make it easier for people to find your content. For example, you might include words like "interior design," "home decor," or "interior styling."

  • Include a call to action: In your bio, you should also include a call to action that tells people what you want them to do next. This could be something like "Follow us for daily interior design inspiration" or "Contact us for a free consultation."

  • Use emojis: Emojis can help make your bio more visually appealing and help convey your brand personality. Just be sure to use them sparingly and only use ones that are relevant to your business.

  • Link to your website: Use the link in your bio to direct people to your website or another relevant page. This is a great way to drive traffic and potentially generate leads for your business.

Overall, the key is to create a bio that accurately represents your business and clearly communicates the value you offer to your customers. With a well-written bio, you can effectively showcase your brand and encourage people to follow your account.
